Online Code of Conduct
This code of conduct is to ensure that you get 100% from your online learning experience with us.
As a Himalaya Yoga Valley Online student I will:
Devote myself entirely to the course, giving undivided attention and presence during class.
Enjoy the process and celebrate my successes daily.
Avoid any excesses or deficiencies that would affect my learning i.e. drink enough water, maintain healthy nourishment.
Advise instructors if I am injured, unwell or need assistance.
Show courtesy, respect and honour the knowledge and experience of the teachers, instructors and fellow trainees throughout the duration of the course.
Speak in confidence to a member of the teaching team if there is cause for complaint or personal problems affecting learning.
Go through the finish line, not just to the finish line.
Be ready at least 5 minutes before the scheduled live class and be logged in and prepared for classes, with yoga mat and props in place and prepared with notebooks, manual etc.
Not take photos of the course screens or engage in any photography or filming of other trainees or teachers.
Create a safe learning environment wherever I am practising or studying from, practicing where there is a minimum of 4 feet of free space around the yoga mat, and will remove any nearby furniture or objects, and be away from sharp corners.
Practice on a level and not a slippery surface, always using a yoga mat.
Follow all safety instructions from Himalaya Yoga Valley teachers.
Interactions with Himalaya Yoga Valley Staff Online
Students are not to use obscene, profane, threatening, or disrespectful language or images in any communications with Himalaya Yoga Valley faculty and staff.
Interactions with other Himalaya Yoga Valley users online
All communications with other students enrolled in Himalaya Yoga Valley online course must be of a course-related nature. Any sending of unsolicited email to other Himalaya Yoga Valley classmates is prohibited.
All communications with other students in any forum, course-related email, discussion post, etc., must be polite, courteous and respectful.
